Our 1st Birthday Party!

It's hard to believe we've been on the streets for one year this month! To celebrate we're throwing a birthday party with a "Return of the Special" 5-course menu. We've asked fans to let us know what their fave specials were this past year.

Usually running only one week at a time, Frysmith’s specials have ranged from simple items like “The Breaker,” a New Year’s resolution buster of chili cheese fries loaded with sour cream and bacon, to more elaborate dishes like “Beja Fry” with paneer, tomato curry and roasted eggplants.

Over the past few weeks, you've sent in your comments and we've tallied up what the winning specials will be at the dinner:

* Breakfast Fries: soft scrambled eggs, bacon & tarragon sour cream sauce
* Sichuan Lamb Burrito: braised lamb leg with Sichuan chiles & peppercorns, fries, cilantro, scallions
* Enchilada Fries: crab or soyrizo with ancho-orange sauce, red onions, cilantro, crema
* Sesame Steak Wrap: shawarma-marinated skirt steak, baby spinach, pickled onions, sesame seeds,tahini-sesame oil sauce
* Red Wine and Bacon Poutine: bacon & grenache gravy, Ballard Family Farms cheese curds

And of course, birthday cake!

Since the party will take place on the Verdugo Bar's outdoor patio, it's 21 and over only. An optional beer tasting of 3 beers chosen to complement the birthday menu will be available or fry lovers can also opt for full pints, glasses and goblets from the Verdugo Bar's wide selection.

The birthday dinner takes has been postponed to December 5th 6-9p at 3408 Verdugo Rd. in Glassell Park. Tickets are $12 including tax, cash only!

Presale tickets are closed.

Benefit for South County Outreach

Tomorrow we're heading to Infiniti of Mission Viejo for a food truck fare to benefit South County Outreach. The non-profit org provides services to families and seniors, including homeless prevention services to over 650 families each month!

In addition to Frysmith, Coolhaus, The Lime Truck, Rajin' Cajun and Oh for Sweet's Sake will be at the Infiniti dealership. The public can purchase food tickets to be traded in at the trucks and the proceeds from tickets sales go to SCO.

Infiniti of Mission Viejo is located at 28471 Marguerite Parkway. The food truck fest will take place from 11a-1p. Hope to see you there!
