The Burger Fries have a charbroiled Angus burger atop hand-cut fries and cheddar cheese. We're topping it with a homemade thousand island dressing that gets a little salty jolt of umami with umeboshi (Japanese pickled plum). A few red onions on top (and optional bacon, why not) and dig in.

Burger Fries
Who doesn't like a burger and fries? We're cutting out the middle man, that pesky "and," with our new Burger Fries. They have roots in the "animal" kingdom, if you know what I mean, but we're taking it to a tasty new place.

Poutine Week
It's winter and the weather is brisk (for we weather wusses in LA at least). What better to warm you up than steaming hot gravy over melting pockets of cheese over fries. Ah, poutine. Is it good for you? Probably only if you're suffering from malnourishment. Is it delicious and comforting? Yes and yes.
This week we're serving up not one but three, count em, three poutines a day. We're kicking off Tuesday with braised short rib poutine (done in beer, Worcestershire & chicory sauce) as well as an old favorite, the red wine and bacon poutine. And we're bringing out our first vegetarian poutine, which will be redolent of Italian porcini mushrooms. The week will see other poutines introduced or brought back, including our first dessert poutine. Details on that to come.

Frysmith's 1st Bday Pics
I didn't get a chance to snap shots during the actual service, but here are a couple blurry (we had a bit to drink and it was raining after all!) pictures of the food trucker after party:
Below, some of the Frysmith crew! And the pic at the top of the post is the crew plus some of our trucker friends. Thanks to the Verdugo Bar for hosting the night. For more pics, check out our Facebook page (link to the left)!
