Don't confuse it with this "Inside the Vault" featuring the National WWII Museum. We've never been on that one.

Pig Day on March 1st

For National Pig Day (our favorite new holiday) we're teaming up with Cast Iron Gourmet (maker of artisanal bacon and other pig products) and Black Boar (the bar with a pig motif) for Happy Hour Specials!
We're breaking out a special Pig Day menu, including Rashida from Cast Iron Gourmet's McPig, like a hell of a smoked pork belly sandwich. We're making pork, chorizo and jalapeno chili as well as double bacon poutine as our specials for the week! And, wait for it, you can get any of our fries on chicharrones.
All on Tuesday in Eagle Rock at the Black Boar, 1630 Colorado Blvd.

Fundraising Food Trucks this Week

This week we're hanging out with a bunch of trucks, helping raise funds for a variety of causes.
Tomorrow, find us at Glendale Community College from 11a-3p. A portion of all proceeds goes to the school's Leo Club.

On Wednesday, we'll be in Woodland Hills from 5:30-9p. Funds raised goes to the school's scholarship fund.

Lastly, we're hoping it doesn't rain on the Pasadena Junior League's Community Expo. There's a run/walk and all participants get free admission to a food truck circle. Anyone who doesn't want to get a little exercise in beforehand can purchase a wristband for admission, with proceeds going to the Pasadena Junior League. Friday Night Bites!

White Rabbit is hosting us, Buttermilk and Coolhaus this Friday at their cafe in Canoga Park. The forecast calls for rain but there'll be covered seating inside and out, so bring some buds and try a bit of everything from White Rabbit's tasty Filipino burritos, one of our yummy fries (try Mayra's Mexican Madness while it lasts), maybe a delish Buttermilk Brick and an ice cream sandwich for dessert!

Cinema Secrets on Thursday

We're stopping by Cinema Secrets in Burbank for Lunch on Thursday! This place has everything you need to make yourself look like a movie star ... well, at least the make-up, hair products and other beauty stuff! And, tomorrow, they're giving 20% off your purchase when you pick up a coupon at the truck. We'll be at 4400 Riverside Drive from 11:30-2p!

2nd Annual Valentine's One-Night Stand Dinner

Tickets are now on sale for our 2nd Annual One-Night Stand Dinner. We asked our fans for their favorite aphrodisiacs and incorporated them into a special menu just for Valentine's Day. We've got well-known lust-inspiring foods like oysters and chocolate, as well as lesser known aphrodisiacs like pine nuts and mustard greens. The five-course menu also includes a taster flight of specially picked beers from the Verdugo Bar!

The dinner takes place on February 14th at 7:30p on the Verdugo Bar's patio. It's a seated event, so relax in the candlelight as all 5 courses (plus beer) come to you!

Food Trucks at Taft

In conjunction with some awesome folks at Taft High School, our very own Brook has put together a weekly Food Truck Fundraiser Night on Wednesdays. It starts this week, February 9th in Woodland Hills with a rotating roster of some of the tastiest food trucks in the Southland. Plus each truck will make a donation to Taft's scholarship fund. Check it out this Wednesday!

The Growth of Food Truck Nights!

If you want to try a bunch of different kinds of foods but don't feel like walking more than a city block to accomplish that feat, there's nothing like a food truck night. They're popping up all over, and there's no better way to have a fun time with a bunch of food. This week, we're hitting Melrose Night on Thursday, which features great trucks and discounts at cool stores.
Then on Friday, we're making our first trip to the popular SGV Foodtruck Fest. Check out the scene from last month.And we'll have a post soon about next week's kick-off food truck get-together and fundraiser at Taft High School in Woodland Hills!
