Eat St.

We're featured on the Cooking Channel this week on Eat St., a fun new show celebrating street food around North America. This was the nicest film crew we've ever met, by the way. We've seen a couple of them at our truck since then, and crazily enough, Brook and I ran into them filming Japa Dog while we were vacationing (aka stuffing our faces) in Vancouver. I thought it was cool that our Chili Cheese Fries recipe is on the Cooking Channel website. Check it out!

Curbside Eats

There's a cool series on Ehow going on called Curbside Eats. It features local food trucks and gives some cool background info that most segments don't usually get to. Here's our little bit, and it features a big goofy-looking Asian dude named Erik Ho (clearly way less cool than me, but I'm concerned at how close he's standing to my wife). That's just a typo? Oh, okay.

Fish and Chips (kinda)

This week's special is fish and chips, in a way. We start with, wait for it...fries. They're topped with a celery root puree mixed with Lappi cheese, poached tilapia, tartar sauce made with capers and tarragon, and pistachios.

Easter Egg Weekend

We're hunting for Easter eggs all weekend with some of our truckin' friends. On Saturday, find us at The Other Door in NoHo (see above flier). I hear tell of free truck treats if you find the right eggs! Then on Easter Sunday, you can find more eggs at Speedzone in Industry where we'll be frying from 11a-3p!

Happy Easter!

Moose Lodge Truck Meet Up

We're heading to the Norwalk/Whittier area tomorrow night with Komodo, Coolhaus, Nom Nom and the LudoTruck. Stop by and grab some grub (and the lodge will also be open if you want to chase down your meal with a cold brew)!

Loaded Fries

There are lots of reasons to visit Frysmith at our kitchen in Loaded Hollywood.
1. You can drink there (because it's a bar).
2. You can drink there for not a lot of cash (it's been called the most affordable on Hollywood by e*star LA)
3. We're open there 7 days a week for dinner (we usually do 5 dinners on the truck). 5p-11p & 5p-12a Fri/Sat.
4. And probably best of all: Loaded Fries! These are versions of our truck favorites with added toppings that take them to new heights. And you can only get them at Loaded.
For example, the Loaded Rajas (below) has sumac mascarpone and roasted jalapeno sauce. And the Loaded Kimchi (above) sports extra pork and a cage-free over-easy egg.
