- 2 kilos of potatoes
- Cream or evaporated milk
- Spices to taste (cumin, pepper, nutmeg…)

In order to make mashed potatoes the first thing we have to do is to boil the potatoes. There are people who prefer to cook them with the skin on, and others who prefer to cook them already peeled and sliced. I prefer to cook them in pieces just because it takes less time, but if you have time, you can cook them whole.
When the potatoes are cooked, the first step is to mash them. Once they are mashed, we start adding all the ingredients one by one until we get the desired creamy consistency. Add the butter, cream and spices.
I don’t mention quantities here because I believe that each person has a different taste. There are people who like them with more pepper or more nutmeg, creamier or less creamy, so feel free to add the amount of spices you want to.
